All are welcome to come to the Village Olympics this Saturday on the recreation ground in Buxworth just by the War Memorial Club. As well as the usual assortment of races and activities for all ages, there will be a few surprise events too.
As always there is no charge for entry or to partake in the sporting events, first prize winners will get a coveted Buxworth Olympics Gold Medal, and a certificate, and certificates will go to all second and third placings.
There will be a bouncy castle, refreshments, candy floss and facepainting.
As soon as the sporting events finish, we are honoured to have the excellent Turtle Zed playing on the decking at the Club both before and after the prize-giving.
Please come along to support this long-running event, and maybe even get a little fitter (temporarily, before helping to drink the club dry!!) Edited by user 10 July 2013 11:41:04(UTC)
