My uncle John Ralph Gee of silk hill farm bings road worked there until he left Whaley bridge along with my Grandmother Bessie gee once Hadfield in 1974. The recent loss of my mother Dorothy Carr once Gee of silk hill farm has prompted me to research there past any one know any thing about them or my family in Whaley bridges

Incidentally I do have some photos of the Goyt Valley before the reservoirs were built and one of them is quite rare and taken, I think, from up Long Hill and in the distance you can see that magnificent Mansion House Errwood Hall across the dry valley.
