What is the problem George? Can we help?
The optimist believes that Whaley Bridge is the best place in the world to live. The pessimist fears he might be correct.

Thank you Dave for your response.

I have posted items before and after a few errors been successful usually. I followed the same instruction this time but a browse box does not appear to add the attachment.

I type in the text, click on preview, click on attach files to this post, click on post, a box comes up saying this is a moderated forum continue but can't the browse box does not appear so I can't the select file.

Any help will be appreciated.

George Hill

I have tested this, George, and it seems to be a fault with the forum. It doesn't seem to allow attachments to moderated posts. Perhaps the administrator could elucidate?

Horwich End had many businesses years ago and it was seldom necessary to go Whaley Bridge when shopping, consequently people tended to stay in their own locality more. I will try again to attach more details of the buisinesses.

In the past Horwich End had a good number of businesses and people could satisfy their needs locally. I will try and attach details.

Well done in the end George.
I can remember the dentists, all whirring electric motors and pulleys and the drill at the other end held by Mr Hougie.
Ah! What happy memories!!!!!

[size= 14px]Thanks for the lists George.

Not sure if it counts as a business, but there was a doctor's surgery (Dr Saunders) on Buxton Rd. Just before the old Trinity Church hall, on the left if you're heading away from Whaley towards Horwich End.

One of RSS's beloved goats runs through the front garden.
