I'm a member of Whaley Bridge's PEN CLUB. The group was founded and is run and organised by Edwina Currie and Sue Rowlands.
We meet once a month at FOOTSTEPS in Whaley Bridge. We are local amateur writers.
To commemorate the anniversary of World War 1, we are contributing to a booklet which will become part of the FOOTSTEPS exhibition this autumn 2014. We plan to include photographs, memoirs, images of medals, family reminiscenses, illustrations, poems and short stories - the latter written by members of THE PEN CLUB.
We know how active the Whaley Bridge Forum is and that there are many people involved in the Forum who may want/like to contribute to our booklet.
Please do contribute photographs, memories - anything to honour those who gave their lives.
