Whaley Bridge in the Mid-Nineteenth Century

This informative book, edited by J H Smith of Manchester University, was originally published by Whaley Bridge Amenity Society in 1978.

The third edition, published in 1986, was long recognised as a major source of information on the history of Whaley Bridge.

Long out of print, it has now been re-published by Whaley Bridge Community Trust in a new format along with early photographs from Alan Shaw's collection.
