I don’t know if this is of interest to anyone; probably not, but if you want to view some old photos of villages and towns around Derbyshire follow this link:
 
 
When the web site loads simply click on the accept button and then you will go to a page where a drop down menu gives you all the places around here alphabetically and you can choose where you want to see.
 
You can look at Whaley, Bugsworth, Chapel, Dove Holes or just about anywhere. OK forget about Dove Holes. But most places have a few old photos.
 
Some of you might find something of interest.
 
There are 60 images of Whaley and some are quite modern but some are very old.
My own personal favourite is the very last one which is of the Whaley Bridge Motorcycle Club. It is a 1920’s photo and is taken in front of the garage which used to be one of the filling stations on Buxton Road. Pity it still isn’t.
