TEMPORARY 30MPH AND 10MPH
SPEED LIMIT
A5004
BUXTON TO WHALEY BRIDGE
 
WHEN: 24 June 2013 to 30 August 2013    
WHERE: It will be necessary to prohibit traffic from travelling at a speed in excess of 30mph, 10mph whilst under convoy, on the A5004 from a point 500 metres (547 yards) east of the junction with Old Longhill Road, Buxton to a point 250 metres (274 yards) south of the junction with Mevril Road, Whaley Bridge.
REASON: To facilitate carriageway surface dressing works. 
 
The restriction will be in force for the time stated or until the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised.
 
Derbyshire County Council apologises for any inconvenience caused while work takes place. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire 08456 058058. 
 
The County Council intends to make/has made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit traffic from travelling at a speed in excess of 30mph and 10mph.

Hi,

Has anybody been over Long Hill today or yesterday?  On Monday it was really bad so I was giving it a miss.  

Have they finished?

I've come down Long Hill on my way home from work tonight, and they seem to have finished resurfacing but there is still a lot of loose stones flying about, so I think it is best avoided for the next few days if you can.
