My name is Richard Braddock. The post on 17/07/2015 by ww 1 is of interest to me,my granddad was Richard Milnes and therefore Sgt.Maj.Milnes was presumably my great uncle also their parents Mr&Mrs J Milnes must be my distant relatives.I have some info on R.Milnes but nothing on the others. Therefore any information on any of them would be gratefully accepted.

Richard,
These images were given to me by the niece of “Sgt.Maj.Milnes” her husband is an old friend.
Her maiden name was “Beryl Johnson” from Bridgemont she now resides in Ireland, rather looks like you are related.
I do have their email address should you wish to contact her.

Richard Milnes his brothers page can be seen at the above link.

I have added the 1911 census showing I think both brothers in Bridgemont.
Looks like they were over 30 years of age at the start of WW1.

The full text from Louis Bowden -

"The information on the pictures (Those also Served) is none existent
except for Beryl's grandfather Alfred Johnson who has now been claimed
by Gnatalee! There is no doubt about his identity as the photos came from
Beryl's mothers photo album and he was clearly marked 'Grandad Johnson' '".
