The web site of Fleurets, the pub sales agency shows The Navigation in Johnson Street as being "Under Offer".  It is priced at £170,000.  It is not clear whether the pub might reopen or be converted for other use.  It is always sad to see a pub standing empty and one hopes that it might re-open its doors.

After re-reading some earlier posts ( the electric buggy has a puncture ) I had to respond to "The Navigation" . The connection between both Navigations apart from the obvious was they both had the smallest of bars. Both had very small hatches from which you ordered they must have been 18 inches square ( there is no hidden Masonic message here ) the one at Buggy being the smallest. The Whaley Navi I think was altered after the Buggy Navi.We held a Christmas booze up there from the Wire-mill in 1963 but years before I went to a funeral "ham tea" just after the war (2nd) and a wedding feast before this. These were held in the large room upstairs. I know this isn't Whaley but close.
