Picture busy body here again, but I thought it would be useful to establish a standard for maximum picture width when posting/uploading images to avoid the need to pan the controls at the bottom of the page.

I have scanned an image taken (Sorry, New Mills in the Torrs).
I have then made four images reducing in pixel size as below.

A 1000 pixels wide

B 900 pixels wide

C 800 pixels wide

D 700 pixels wide

I would appreciate a quick comment on which if any best fits on your screen.
There is one other setting that plays a part Screen Resolution, (No need to bother about at this point).

Thanks for any comment.

For me, the optimum width would seem to be around 850 pixels wide, as B (900 pixels) *just* needs a little horizontal scroll to see the whole thing, and C (800 pixels) has a bit of white space down the right hand side.

“A” refused to load too big in memory size probably, perhaps there is a forum limit??

So far it looks like 850 pixels is the safest option, the picture below is at 850 wide

Thanks for your response

Rubbish, Mr Jackson... its a picture of my gardener's quarters!

The size is perfect for my screen resolution though.
