Hi Everyone,

Just a quick suggestion about photos.  If you edit or save a photo always try and save the file as a Jpeg file.

The Jpeg file format (normally has the .jpg file extension) is a compressed format and will be a smaller file size and thus will avoid some of the size and timeout problems people are having.

I can see a lot of the photos have been uploaded as a BMP file, these are NOT compressed files and tend to be on the large size.

If you are using a Microsoft Windows XP system you can open the file in the 'Paint' application and do a simple 'Save As' on the file and save it as a Jpeg type file.

I hope this helps!

Not seeking permission for my site – just concerned about posting a lead from the Forum Sticky Department. (May not be too well received).

You see Mr Truman I did warn you, two more are limping now.
If I respond in any way to an aggressive posting the result is always the same.

If you will kindly close down all my access to the Forum it will be appreciated.

I have attached two pdfs to this post. One is general instructions on how to use the Forum and does contain a section on uploading photos. This was done by Jon and is available elsewhere on the site, well worth reading again even if you are a seasoned member, a very useful docment. As I said it contains a section on uploading photos but I have created another pdf which I hope goes into more detail on just that one subject. I hope it is useful. If anyone wishes more detail in it or sees any errors then please let me know.
