I know there is an events section and yes, I have emailed admin but as it is not long until Saturday I thought everyone would be delighted to know that it is the Taxal & Fernilee Primary School Annual Duck Race and Spring Fair this coming Saturday (6th June)
The Duck Race will be at 1:00pm in the Memorial Park followed by the Spring Fair at the school from 2:00pm to 4:00pm
If you haven't witnessed the Duck Race before it entails people buying raffle tickets and then, instead of drawing the winners from a hat, 1500 numbered plastic ducks are sent down the river through the Memorial Park and the first past the finishing post wins.
Great fun!
