Sorry no.
The bystanders give the impression they are waiting for a parade of some sort. Obviously a photographer was visiting Halsteads for some reason on that particular day?
No flags in view.
Costumes pre WW1 I recon.

Hi Snoopy,

These photos were copied off ebay during the last couple of weeks.

I do know quite a lot about that area and those scenes but as it is Dove Holes I shall leave it for now.
If you want I can tell you roughly the year and the shops on the opposite side of the road from the old Headmaster’s house.

I will do my best Mr Smythe,

The shop on the left was the Post Office. Further up was a little sweet shop called Broomheads.  Even further up across the road was Fletchers farm. Across the road from the shop was the schoolmaster’s house. The shop is now closed and the farm is a housing estate.

(P.S. Sorry for posting Dove stuff on Whaley Bridge Forum).

Cheers R. S-S. I had a look at the originals on ebay.

At £25 and £28 a bit expensive. Don't think I will be buying them. They were posted 1906 and 1907, obviously may have been taken in a window of a few years before being posted.
