If he is serious, then he's certainly a balancelled individual......he has a chip on both shoulders!!!! I've my fingers crossed that I win tonight's lottery, because buying Bothomes Hall would be the first thing I did:-)
It would be better if Jack won and bought the Hall.
Then everyone in the area could take their dogs for a walk on there, and then we would see how jack reacts to the numerous deposits on his land.

My comment was only hearsay......word on the wind etc.......
As I also heard earlier this year Perter Crouch was buying it!....
But private land is private land ....respect is respect.....
Dont think Jack is winding it up.....as the record has stuck since the thread started...Entitled to his opinion no matter how misgided it may seem to others.

If I did own the hall I would definately allow access over the field for dog walkers

This is like the scene from American Werewolf in London where the bar falls silent because 2 strangers have walked in. Grow up man and get a life.
Nice one HPH, but as far as films go i was thinking more of Deliverance.
Good afternoon High Peak Harry and Well Known Norm.
Gentlemen, are you suggesting some residents of Bridgemont are inbred, ignorant, hillbillies who wouldn't think twice about making a stranger squeal like a pig?

I have no knowledge of their place of domicile, only of the anti-social activities some of them wish to partake in. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if they were actually travelling to be a pain in the derriere. They are le merde de le chien.

Sounds more like SOCIETY to me.
Now that was a weird film, but any connection to Kettleshulme is purely coincidental.

It does seem an odd comment nce? You shouldn't blame "the dog walkers", but certain individuals who happen to walk dogs and think that they above the rules of s civilised society

'The Dog Walkers' was a collective phrase in the context of this thread. That said, I also accept that they could be moving for any reason.

It was moogie who suggested that the Hall was back on the market because of the 'Dog Walkers issue'. Whether that was told to him by the current owners, overheard in the Wetherspoons in Hazel Grove, or from some other source, only moogie will know ... |

There are some people who are trying to say the reason the hall has been put up for sale is because of the actions of dog walkers.........................how naive is that.......................have they considered it could have been bought at a knocked down price as an investment which has been done up and is now being sold for profit

Well put Jack. I believe the developer who invested in this refurbishment is to be commended & deserves to make whatever profit he can if he can sell it in the present climate. He has developed an untidy piece of land & will make someone a wonderful home/hotel. Hopefully the same developer could refurb the Joderell & make it landmark pub again.

Well done Jack, persisting in the "I'll doff my cap to no man" inferiority attitude: buying something (anything), and selling at a profit is called business & it's what this country was built on. It's not illegal or immoral, but something to be proud of. Good luck to whoever was brave enough to do it..... I wish I could have

Blimey!
Who needs Popcorn when you can read this thread whilst watching Eusene Bolt win the 200m Gold?
I come from Marple, I live on Jam Butty Hill and I don't have a dog.
I'll get my coat.
