Hats off to the Fringe
I see that the W3 Fringe has made the front page of the Buxton Advertiser.
Well done to Mike and Sue for hosting what proved to be the Mayor of the High Peak's favourite part of the festival.
Once again the proceeds of the Hatters Tea Party were donated to the W3 cause.

The Mad Hatters were also good enough to let The Powderkegs musicians shelter our instruments under their gazebo for our aquatic 3pm spot on the Saturday - and it turns out one of them has a morris dancing father as well! So thank you very much to them from us too ... |

Hi Steve
The Fringe is now an important part of the event and we are working on plans for them for next year. Who would have thought a few years ago that the Whaley Fringe would have been up there with their Buxton colleagues. There is a rather good picture of them entertaining the Mayor if you look on our Facebook page.
We do have a good quality dry backstage tent where shelter can be taken to keep the suns rays off your delicate complexions and instruments.
Cheers and thanks for your performance
Oh and it's Saturday 8th June next year -same times? Edited by user 15 June 2012 21:27:48(UTC)

I think that the "shame about Saturday" is that the weather reduced the attendance, not that those who braved the weather didn't have a good time. And further congratulations on how you coped and on the overall standards. |
The optimist believes that Whaley Bridge is the best place in the world to live. The pessimist fears he might be correct. |

Hi Barry
Will do, I'll get it in the team diary. By a spooky coincidence that's Rose and me walking away from camera in the shot of Mike the Mad Hatter! |
