I went in the White Hart the other day and it's amazing what a lick of paint can do!
The old place looked tired and scruffy, but now it's like a different pub.
The decking overlooking the river makes this the only pub in Whaley to have river views and the decor inside smart and stylish. Even the toilets have been revamped, but how long will they look spick and span?
I for one will be re-visiting again, as the beer is on par with any other pub in the area.

New faces behind bar at Peak Pub
A Peak pub is to reopen with new partners. Ex-Co-op worker Wendy Graham, and her marine engineer husband Phil, have taken over the White Hart in Whaley Bridge, which reopens tomorrow (Friday). Wendy said “We jumped at the chance to take it on as we could see the pub's potential.” Owned by Punch Taverns, the Market Street pub underwent a refurbishment last year.
Good luck to Wendy and Phil in your new venture.
