Just wondered if Whaley has (or has had) a cycling club of any kind.

Welcome to the forum, possibly ask Fred at the bike shop as he has lived around here all his life.

As an afterthought, if you publish details of any rides you do would these be ped antics?

Or is that just me?

Hi Ped

A couple of years ago I came across a photo of a crowd of a local cycling club geared up with their cycles gathered outside of what is now the car dealers garage next to the entrance to Whaley Bridge Bowling Club. I don't know any more.

Hiya

Not that I am aware of the nearest clubs are either New Mills the Sett Valley Cycling Club or similar and there is a club in Buxton. I do some road riding 2-3 times a week during the summer work commitments permitting if you need a riding buddy?

Cheers
