Hi,

FIREWORKS AND LANTERN PARADE TONIGHT !

The Lantern Parade starts at 5pm from Taxal and Fernilee school and snakes its way down Macc Rd, along Goyt road,then alongthe path by the river - over Wheatsheaf Road Bridge and on to the Bowling Club. It should be a great sight. Fireworks at 7pm at the Bowling Club. Events start at 4.30pm. Barry lists the various events in his post in the announcements section of this forum.

I thought the lantern parade starts at 5:30pm at Taxal School. Please could you confirm?

The official notice says assemble at 4:45 to depart at 5:30.

The Samba band were very good, just a shame they didn't move on to the bowling club.
