Has anyone else noticed how the pavement has lifted on Hockerley Lane? It's near the corner where the electricity sub station is. And if so has anyone reported it? It's a burst of some kind and I'm not sure if it is water or sewer.
It's been like that for a couple of days, perhaps since the heavy rain of Tuesday, but it doesn't seem to be getting any worse. The pavement is very uneven and has lifted in the places where it was patched when the new crossing points were put in,

I went and took pictures of it yesterday, after it was reported to me by someone else. It will be brought up in the council meeting tonight.
The vegetation at the side also needs cutting back.
Cheers

The question has to be asked. How was the shrubbery allowed to get in that mess in the first place?.

Is it the shrubbery or something else causing the problem?
Update: Just driven past and there are now cones on the lifted bit which I hope means that someone from either the Council or United Utilities has been to have a look at it Edited by user 09 July 2009 15:39:54(UTC)

Problem flagged up nearly a week ago. Cones arrive and are placed on the raised pavement Then nothing! Any clues anyone?

Neil Hickman at Derbyshire county council has been informed, and he has been asked to look into repairing it and cutting back the vegetation.
This is the start of the process.
Unfortunately, whilst you might want to see instant results, nothing ever happens very quickly , so be prepared for a wait.
Cheers

Sorry to drag this back up BUT the problem seems to have been attended to with a new drain being installed over a month ago. A cordon was erected around the new cover in order for the concrete to set............but it's still there!!! When will the pavement be returned to it's origional state? Until this happens no-one can used the pavement.
