The forum has degenerated again.

The forum could be a really useful positive community resource, if used properly, but unfortunately a small number of people seem to wish to use it only for mudslinging. This may be amusing to some, but the result of it is that it presents a very poor image of Whaley Bridge to the wider world, which I am certain is not what any of us want to be doing. To put it in context, the antics of a tiny handful of forum users, around 10 of you, are undermining and misrepresenting a village of around 8000 people. This cannot continue.

If this does continue, then the forums days are numbered.

There will be a meeting of the forum admin group in the very near future at which we will discuss options as to how we continue.

Several recent topics have now been locked and removed in entirety to the moderator area, as they add nothing to the forum, only serve to inflame people, and misrepresent our town. Any Forum user who continues to mudsling, will be suspended.

Can I remind people that all we really ask of  people is to be 'considerate and polite in your use of the forum'.

As even this thread degenerated, all posts, regardless of their content, were, following discussion, removed , and this was left as a sticky.

Users who cannot post without attacking others will be suspended.
