Did anyone hear the Cuckoo this morning over Taxal and later WB ?   I have heard one in previous years but as they are supposed not to be found further north than a horizontal line through Bristol I have always thought I have mistaken its call for some other specie e.g. the lesser spotted rump backed Osprey or such . Any ornithologists out there who can help ?

The Powderkegs were dancing up at Windgather Rocks at dawn on May 1st morning, and we heard a cuckoo there too
