Free Windows 10.
If you are considering acquiring it, you might be interested to know...
I have used Windows 8.1 since December last. So qualify for the “Free Upgrade”. This morning I followed the instructions and clicked on the Windows logo at the bottom right of my screen,
filled in a couple of details and have now received an E-mail from Microsoft to confirm that I will receive the free upgrade...as below
Congratulations on reserving Windows 10 Your free upgrade will be available from July 29th, and now that you’ve reserved it, you won’t miss a minute of Windows 10 helping you do great things.
Incidentaly: Not much of my old XP software, Office, Dreamweaver, etc. Would work on Widows 8.1 so no chance on Windows 10 I recon.Edited by user 10 June 2015 08:22:15(UTC)

Received and Installed Windows 10 yesterday replacing Windows 8.1
Looks OK and works fine in most cases but,
Photoshop now refuses to scan from the menu.
My email software eM-client fails to print correctly lines are chopped of.
However I shall persevere my scanner and printer are all in one by Epson.
A re- install might do the trick.
There are also new apps all about selling Music, and general shopping have deleted those.
Wish I still had XP - The best ever.

My assessment is that Microsoft have tried to come up with a single “Operating System” that caters for all modes of on line eventualities. Such as- The “Where are you now.”... Tracey updated her profile on Facebook.... Ten pictures of our Dwayne as a tree in “Waiting for Godo”. David Cameron tweeted... Found a great pair of shoes on.... ...Brigade. It is not for old school computer students bin your ECDL certificates. Scrap the expensive software that doesn’t work any more. There is an app for all eventualities. However I am a poor “Luddite” so looking for a second hand machine that comes with XP and I will use it (Software restored) in tandem with Windows 10. Edited by user 09 August 2015 10:36:15(UTC)

My final word on Windows 10 -
The very worst Operating System they have ever produced. It should include a self destruct App.
Not a patch on Windows 95.
Apple will will love it.
