Where's Sherlock Holmes when you need him? The bench near the chemist's shop in Whaley Bridge has been taken away. Just in time for the Water Weekend when lots of older residents need somewhere to sit and perhaps wait for a bus. Who has taken it? Why have they taken it? Who did it belong to? Will it be replaced? Was it dedicated to anyone? WILL IT BE MISSED?????????

As long as it takes to re-render the wall, according to the minutes of the September council meeting ...
"The wall alongside the Al Madina needs re-rendering for approximately five feet high before the siting of the new bench. Whaley4Wards is prepared to support this work. Permission for this work must be given by the owner of the property."
