It would appear there is a least one member who doesn't understand this is a forum for discussions relating to WHALEY BRIDGE!!!!!. This topic has nothing to do with Whaley and as such should be removed immediately.

Well thankfully you are not the Forum police-and we live in a democratic society

New Mills is a (close) neighbouring town and has put on an event to which I know some  people in Whaley Bridge will be interested in-based on their attendance at other music events in New Mills.  It may have escaped your notice but the water weekend was attended by lots of visitors from New Mills amongst other places who were made welcome, along with their wallets.  The sucess of next years events will depend on them returning.

It is also a chance to see how they manage it as some members of this forum and supporters of things positive in this town hope to see music at next years June event

Cheers and good day to you Sir

(tongue firmly in cheek)

Like I said in my post regarding the meeting the other night. Our hopefully re-vamped Whaley water week-end, well dressing and Rose queen with possibly music and beer festivals othwise known as a "Whaley Festival" is not just a local festival for local people. Its function should be to provide enjoyment for residents and vistors alike, as well as help to promote Whaley as a town (village) and all its buinesses. We as residents can only benefit from that. Whats therefore wrong in supporting similar events in New Mills, Chapel and Buxton?

Nothing at Mr Tyke and a good morning to you.

I think you'll find Denise is wearing his black and red jersey , catapult in hand and just trying to create lively debate-you know, like those radio presenters that get guests like Enoch and Martin Luther on the show  together.

I was thinking of getting a minibus together and inviting the whole forum along- I thought we might all be able to fit in or do you think it may be a little too big.

Cheers

judging on past attempts at getting people from Whaley to venture further afield you'll only need a tandem!

I was under the impression that there were on about 3 members posting in different names, so any car will do.

This must seem very confusing Snoopy but several forum users have been deleted as they were considered to be the same person from their IP address or other intelligence and in the opinion of moderators were in breach of rules.

No Person has been banned-in fact all  members are still here- in one form or another.

Hope that makes it clear

Cheers

Anyway getting back on track.  The New Mills event is this afternoon at The NewTown Recreation ground not far from the station-a brolly would be advisable

Could hear the music quite clearly from on top of Broadhey Hill.  Enjoyed the view as well.

Now look here Mr Parabuild,

What ever are you doing sitting at the top of a hill listening to music?

Only a few days ago I pointed you in the direction of Old Silverheels. Have you made any progress at all? Or maybe the rest of us and one of our dear departed friends who went in search armed with a metal detector have been outwitted by you.

If you have found him please let us all know. If you haven’t found him or haven’t even bothered to look we shall have to meet up this week and I will give you a more pinpoint area to search.

What progress have you made?

None I’ll bet.
