For some time I have been working on a digital model of Errwood Hall and this is now nearing completion. Details have been taken from photographs posted on the forum and from a drawing prepared by Holly Rees. There are a number of blank walls where there should be windows and doors; I have omitted these rather than guessing their positions. Other inaccuracies will be obvious and I will correct these if I am able to obtain additional photographs or details.
I hope that this computer model will give a reasonable representation of Errwood Hall. I will shortly prepare an animated "walk round" which will be available through YouTube.
Google SketchUp is the software used to prepare this model. The free version, which I use, may be downloaded here : sketchup.google.com/download/ Installation of the program will allow full viewing of the Errwood model including zooming, panning and walk around. I will happily e.mail a copy of the sketchup file to any member who requests it ( parabuild@btopenworld.com ) Edited by user 20 June 2010 09:59:58(UTC)

Yes, fantastic work.
I have been in touch with Mr parabuild and with his permission I have put the SketchUp files on the Errwood website. So if you feel like dabbling (if that is the right word) with them you can download them from there.
I have also updated the Research page with the latest piccies supplied by Mr parabuild.
He is very modest about his work, I don't know the first thing about SketchUp but having had a quick look I reckon Mr parabuild has done a very good job.

Website updated Mr. Parabuild, as you requested.
Thanks and well done
Norm
P.S. Can I add that the Google SketchUp Software seems to like a machine which is fast and with plenty of memory etc. My machine cannot handle it, but to be fair my computer is below any decent spec. I will upgrade when it gives in. So if you do download the software and Mr. Parabuild files and it is slow don't worry, life is like that. Edited by user 28 June 2010 19:45:47(UTC)

Thanks David.
I have put a link to it from the website. It gives a really good impression of the size of the hall.
Cheers
