Has Arcaz closed?  It looks like it has.

I really do hope not as it would be an age before anyone leased a shop that size given the current economic situation. It was starting to look less like a ghost town as the only shop currently closed is the Italian.
If anyone does know if it has closed can they please confirm?

It looked very closed and empty on Thursday, but it  doesn't surprise me . The prices were very - very high. I think they were selling most of their stuff over the internet. If you look on the web you will see that they say that  "We regrettably no longer have the shop premises, and now trade ONLY through the fine antiques website, for the present time." http://www.arcazantiques.com/

It is a great shame as they obviously spent a lot of time and money in renovating a prominent shop frontage in Whaley Bridge. I thought it looked great, (despite hitting my head numerous times looking through the windows at the displays) and I was also amazed at how much work, and money, they had aso spent on the warren of rooms behind the former building that was Plants.

I would have liked them to have done well, but I think the market they were chasing was beyond even the more wealthy of the Whaley Bridge set.

The space offers a massive business opportunity  for the right person, with the right idea. I only hope it doesn't remain vacant for too long.

Cheers

Jon.
