SATURDAY 21st MAY is the date of this year's Furness Vale Field Day. This event has grown in popularity each year and offers ever more attractions.
The Field Day supports the restoration and re-equipping of the "football field". An application has been made for Queen Elizabeth II Fields status. This is an initiative to mark the Queen's Diamond Jubilee and will create and protect hundreds of playing fields throughout the U.K. Future proposals for this sports field will include recreational facilites for the whole community.
Please make a note of this date in your diary and come along and support this event. Admission, as always, is free.
I will post updates as soon as more details become available

Thank you David
W3 will be at this years Furness Field day with our own little gazebo as shelter. This event does need supporting and is only a twenty minute walk up the towpath or one stop on the train. Forum members can check out the Furness Field Day page on Facebook. The event is a model for what can be achieved within a communty.
Thanks

Furness Vale Field Day is still looking for bands to fill some remaining slots. Any suggestions will be welcome and passed on the the organisers. This is a family event so the music needs to be of general appeal.
