Hi

These three photographs have arrived, sent to the History Website.

The email that came with them said this :-

I came across a couple of photos taken at Gowhole railway sidings on 28 Feb 1968, which may be of interest.

The first shows the "subshed", which consisted only of a turnatble, water column and (behind the camera to the right) a wooden coal stage. The second photo shows 8F No.48744 leaving the yard with a goods train. In the third photo, taken on 2 May 1981, restored SDJR 2-8-0 No.53809 starts out from New Mills with a railtour past the now-overgrown sidings (right).
