In order to manage the forum more effectively, the Whaley Bridge Webgroup, who oversee the forum and the whaleybridge.com website, are looking for additional moderators to help with the day to day management of the forum. It is a voluntary post and does not require any prior experience of the role. Moderators are expected to act in the best interests of the forum, enforcing the rules as necessary, and helping to guide it through difficult patches. There are no fixed hours and it is entirely up to you how much time you spend in the role. Moderators should be impartial, flexible, and reasonable in their approach to others. A thicker skin than normal is usually useful. The role is open to people of all ages and genders.
If you wish to become a moderator please email Whaley Bridge Town Council at towncouncil@whaleybridge.com , and provide details about yourself, and the reason why you wish to become a moderator. Please mark the email FAO Whaley Bridge WebGroup.

Good afternoon
We have been told a number of postings have been removed from the “Public spirited Adeva” thread.
The reason for deletion is explained as “off-topic” and “posters hijacking threads in order to push their own particular complaints and causes.”
I don't think I have seen all the posts but one of my own postings was removed which, to be fair, didn't relate to the original topic.
I was replying to one of forum stalwart silversurfers comments referring to censorship and I will start a new topic for this subject.
We have previously been informed the moderators of this forum are JonG and Mr Trueman but the member who initiated the deletion of the posts was tarboat!
Please could someone, preferably JonG or Mr Trueman, let forum members know who are the current moderators and why are their names no longer displayed under the “Moderators” heading on the forum start page?

The current moderators of the forum are: Myself, JonG and Tarboat.
The reason the current moderators list does not appear on the moderator column is due to a software bug in the current forum software. |
