Hi,
Please note that new forum rules have been introduced.
Version 2.2 is the current version.
Please ensure you read them.
Cheers

Sorry to be slow on the uptake Jon, but I couldn't find version 2.2 of the rules.
What has changed exactly?

Hi Snowy.
The new rules are posted as a sticky thread right at the top of this forum.
The changes to the rules simply reflect a response to some of the issues the forum has faced due to the behaviour of a tiny minority of users.
We would prefer not to have any rules, but sadly the actions of a minority mean that this is not possible.
Cheers

I think it might have been useful to have indicated any new rules, or changes to the existing ones. Clearly, we all accepted the old rules (!) so rather than having to read through the whole lot again, it is easier to just look at the changes, to see if one agrees with them.
Incidentally, did they really jump from version 1.0 to 2.2?
What happened to V2.0 and V2.1?
ps. I don't have a problem with the rules, as I am still posting here occasionally. Edited by user 05 July 2013 10:00:01(UTC)

Hi Buugyite,
Yes, sorry about that. versions 2.0 and 2.1 were internal versions that were discussed before we made the final release of 2.2.
In retrospect it would have been easier to have highlighted any changes. I will try and remember to do this next time - if there is a next time.
Cheers

I have noticed the email address in my profile is a historic one which I was using when I joined the forum in 2009. I no longer use this email and would therefore not receive any forum-wide email messages. I have tried to enter my current email address via "edit profile" and although I am able to enter the current email and press "save" when I check my profile again it still shows the old one. My question to the forum moderators is - Is it essential that I have a current email address on the system and if the answer is yes how do I update it?

Hi Whaley Laner,
This is something which catches a number of people out. When you change your email address you get notified that an email will be sent to your new email address. It takes some time to arrive. Please be patient:) When it arrives, click on the link and your new email address will be registered.
Cheers Jon. Edited by user 16 July 2013 10:10:53(UTC)

Thanks Jon.
I don't recall being notified that I would be sent an email but one has now arrived and my current email address has now been registered.
