Hmmm,

Another student wanting information?
It is beginning to seem like a recurring theme this.

This is the third or fourth time this has happened. Each time I have gone to great lengths to help the student and at the end there has been no feed back whatsoever.
Remember Sarah and The Walker Pit; Holly and Errwood Hall, whatever happened to those students?
I have no idea how much time I spent on helping those two students and I have no idea how they went on in their projects.
A sign of the times possibly.

If you are genuine, Lucy; which I hope you are then all the work on this thread is from my own knowledge of the area and the land occupied by the Walker Pit or Botany Tip as it is now more familiarly known so you will not be able to quote any sources other than the inside of my head.

However, I have also completed a topic entitled the Walker Pit Disaster; you can find that by going to the top of this thread and clicking on to ‘Whaley Bridge Local History Site’ and you will find information about the disaster. The original topic is on page 5 of the history section on this forum.

If you need any help on the planning issues, which I imagine will be very important with regards to your project; you will need to contact me via email as I do not want to go into planning laws and policies that would affect the tip on this forum.

Certain contributors on here have ridiculous ideas about planning and put them on here and yet they know as much about the man in the moon; which is nothing at all.

Hi,

I'm sorry to hear that the others never got back to you. This report is due in on 5th May but I'm hoping to have it finish before. If you like I can send you the report once I'm done? You'll have to bare in mind that all the data is fictitious apart from the actual site observations, these are taken from a walk through video. We have a very strict word limit of 1500 words so I don't think I can get too much policy or law into it. Probably (apart from all the previous information you've posted here!) the most interesting thing may be whether there have been planning applications for this site already and if they have been rejected.

Sorry again for my peers! It may well be a sign of the times, but it is really nice to see that there are still people about who help others! Any information is greatly appreciated. I shall get onto sending my email address over.

Many thanks,

Lucy

Hello Lucy,

I’m sorry my internet connection has been down for a few hours so I am late getting back to you.

However, I will help you all I that I can.

I would love to see your report and I am very interested that you say that there may have been applications on this site before. I shall be able to look at the applications this week but I am not at work tomorrow.
If what you say is correct then I shall be very interested indeed in the applications and more so the applicant.
I will let you know.

Please keep in touch.

Hi,

No worries about the late reply (you have been more than helpful, I didn't expect such a good response as it is). I have sent an email to the councillor so hopefully one of us will receive the other's email address soon. Just to clarify from your comment above, I don't know whether there have been previous applications for development on this site, I just thought it would be an interesting point to raise in the report if there have been. I certainly don't want to ruffle any feathers about planning permission in your area.

Many thanks,

Lucy Warman

Just out of interest did anyone discover if there had been planning applications for this site?  I'm hoping to find a copy of the Unitary Development Plan at the library, might be interesting to see how this has area has been designated.
