What has happened to the thread about helping Jon with scanning photos started by Horwich Ender? We have come to an agreement that both Jon and myself will do it, and I have advertised the fact on the website. Well to be truthful I have stated how they can be sent to me, I am not sure how people send them to Jon, maybe they know his address.

Just seem to have lost the thread because I was going to put info for Jon and myself on it and round it off.

Good afternoon Well Known Norm.

It would appear you are correct, the thread I started is no longer there.

I don't think this is the only thread or post that has been removed recently as Flannel has also made reference to other posts being deleted.

I'm not sure whats going on and perhaps Chairman Jon or one of the other Forum Moderators could tell us why individual posts and whole threads are being deleted without explanation.

Good evening H.E.

I do know something behind this. Jon has been deleting any posts off topic by**, which to be honest is most of them. Earlier this week Jon took away the ability for** to post on this Forum.** sent me a link to his website, I have had a look at it. It contains all the photos he has put on this site that have gone, the usual stuff insulting cartoons, tee shirts and Rodney Trotter, sad.

Umtali has blamed everyone but himself for being banned, although he did request it via this post http://www.whaleybridge.net/forum/default.aspx?g=posts&m=6384#post6384 I find it quite strange he blames everyone else for what he wanted

He cannot understand why the ability to post has been removed since he has only insulted you, me, R.S-S, Jon, G.Jackson, Buggyite, Shallcross, Snoopy, Mr Trueman, and Gnatalee ( I apologise if I have missed anyone ). He thinks there is nothing wrong in that.

Back to the original post, I understand why some of his posts have gone but not a whole thread.

Norm

Hi Norm,

Not certain myself where it went, if it has moved at all. I have only junked the posts that were clearly ruining the threads. I've had a qk look and cant see the thread you refer to. Are you sure it has gone.

Cheers

Jon.

Er yes, that's why you can't see it.

Never mind, but I was going to use it to ask you how people can send photos to you if they wish them to be loaded on the site. As I said not the end of the world.

Are whole threads still disappearing without explanation?

I was under the impression somebody started a topic about an incident in Whaley which, if I remember correctly, had “Being Nosey” in the heading.

Can anyone enlighten us on what's happening?

Hi HE,

I have done a search for that and for 'nosey' and cannot see it as being a topic or post that has been moved to a moderated area. I dont remember the topic. We wouldn't delete a whole topic like that. We would move it to another area not visible to the forum.

Cheers

Jon.

Don't worry HE you're not losing your memory, I remember the thread but cannot recall who started it. They had seen police cars and an ambulance at the last house on Buxton Road and wanted to know what was happening. Where has it gone and what was happening?????

Good afternoon Jacko and Chairman Jon.

Many thanks Jacko for confirming the topic was not a figment of my imagination.

Another thread has vanished without trace and the question remains unanswered. Where has it gone?

Hopefully the originator of the topic or Chairman Jon will be able to do a bit more digging and come up with the answer.

Hi,

Done some digging. It has not been deleted or moved by moderators. It is always possible the original poster deleted it. It does sound like the detail was not something you would neccessarily want advertizing on a public forum, and perhaps in retrospect they removed it. Sorry cant help any more than this. As far as i am aware there is no problem with stuff vanishing.

Cheers

Jon.

I am quite glad a mod did not remove it, I think it was probably too private to be on here. The Poster did say he/she was being nosey and to remove it was the right action, well done *******************. I put the * in, I know the poster but seems better not to mention.

Where's Norm? Things seem very quiet as I mentioned on another thread, I think the forum has not fully recovered from the last debacle. Although many supported R. S-S, and his chums, there was still many who kept quiet.

Good evening Chairman Jon and Snoopy.

Let's hope the original poster is able to throw some light on the situation re the “Being Nosey” thread.

Regarding the topic referred to by Well Known Norm in post #1, I can confirm I was the originator and I didn't delete it but the whole thread has vanished without trace.

So again the question remains unanswered. Where has this thread gone?

Nowhere special, I found it half way down the page on page 3 of the General Discussion forum.

As if by magic it appears. I couldn't find the thread when the search was on, HE and Norm couldn't either. This is one for the Twilight Zone, or maybe just wonky software. Oh well whatever the reason it is back, now where were we up to?

Now You See It........ Now You Don't.

Now You See It........

The thread I started is now there but when I looked previously it had vanished. Well Known Norm couldn't find it, Chairman Jon The Whaley One couldn't find it and Snoopy couldn't find it!

It would appear dark forces have infiltrated this forum.

Could the News of the World be involved or perhaps someone from a foreign land?

Is this how they spell Taxal in North Wales?

Dear HE,

I thought just the same as you.

Reading Limestone's last 10 posts do remind me of someone.

The Taxel bit is another clue, if you really came from there at least you would spell it right.
