Well said Moogie. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion even if others don't agree with it (for the record I personally don't agree with Jack's views). As a matter of interest will the sellers of Bothomes Hall be obliged to disclose the fact that a local Action Group has been set up to get designated access across the land?

But as said 'Action Group' hasn't been seen hide nor hair of since before Christmas, and there certainly doesn't appear to be any formal deposition lodged with Derbyshire CC (which would /should show up in any searches), I suspect that any prospective owners are more likely to be put off by the price, the location, and the furnishings shown in the photos, than any concerns about access challenges ...

I've read this forum with interest as Pete & Abbie Crouch are friends of mine and I put them in touch with Bothomes. The house now looks magnificent and is being looked after. With sheep being on the land I only think they are being careful to try and control any dogs that come loose and worry the sheep.

Often footballers can be seen in a poor light out of the footballing world so he's only trying to ensure there's no upset.

Interesting that people have been listening into conversations of mine in Wetherspoons in Hazel Grove. I feel rather important now!!

You're entitled your opinion. Think it's a bit too much to accuse me of lying. Next time I'm up there I'll post a picture of me outside the house.

just looking at this and wondering what someone from outside the area thinking of moving in would think. I am a confirmed dog owner. I pick up my dogs dirt when in public areas away from the "wilds", and most certainly dont leave it on fence posts in plastic bags as an exhibit of my hounds passing. By the same measure I would mutually expect other dog owners not to cross my private land, should I decide to enclose it. The key hear is communication and mutual respect folks. I,m sorry but "we are from here and have always done this" attitude only breeds contempt and if we all stuck to that ethos then we,d still be using old women who live on their own as a viable alternative to firelighters. The village will change as the population grows,: it must as we are still driven to procreate and hopefully thrive. To be afraid of change is understandable but not excuseable when it threatens the rights of others to maintain the boundaries they have paid for. It doesnt read well. There is no invasion and militant stances where they need not be adopted do not portray this beautiful area in a favourable light. Rant over.
