I just can’t wait to see Gnatalee’s response to this post by High Peak Harry.
HPH recently announced to this forum that, as well as being a spell checker, he was also an old soldier.
It might be just as well because when Gnatalee does read your post you might just get a broadside.
I hope you have managed to keep some of you old army equipment, Harry.
I think a Chieftain Tank might be of some use.

Well actually - had this post been made a couple of days ago I might well have used the Chieftain Tank (could've "borrowed" one from the local TA I suppose) when I visited Whaley yesterday instead of my usual mode of transport. There was I, thinking that I was chatting with the pleasant folk of Whaley
I suspect that HPH is actually an embittered ManU fan and still smarting from Sunday afternoon and I shall rise above his slanderous remark.
See - we scousers are nice friendly people really - I even like cormorants (whatever they look like) !!!!
